This support group is for parents that have outlived their children but there are other support resources through this organization for anyone that has lost a loved one and is carrying grief in their hearts. TCF Is a chapter of a national nonpront organization to support bereaved families of the loss of a child, grandchild, or sibling - any age, any cause. The mission of The Compassionate Friends is when a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family. A Butterfly's Journey is a grief recovery nonprofit with Certified Grief Recovery Specialists conducting Grief Recovery Method classes, and a tree online Resource Center. ABJ also hosts Portraits or Loss (Faces of Resilience Atter Loss) (TM) photo shoots around the country to encourage open expression of grief, loss and love. All proceeds will go directly toward services to support the bereaved. Many people, parents especially, suffer in silence because they don't want to burden their family and friends with their grief. We hope to enlighten family and friends in lightening the burden of those suffering. Also, we want to honor those that have been lost as they still reside in our hearts and memories. We will encourage anyone carrying grief in their lives to join us to celebrate the lives of those gone before us. Everyone out there has lost someone they love or someone that meant something special to them.We are hosting the 3rd Annual "A Walk/Run/Ride to Remember" Fundraiser/Commemorative Walk for The Greater Newburyport Chapter of Compassionate Friends, A Butterfly's Journey, The New England Donor Services and The Travis M. Yell Scholarship Funds. It will be held on October 22, 2022, at Winnekenni Park located just inside themain entrance © 347 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill. MA. from 10 am.- 1pm. Your donation/sponsorship will go to help raise money for 4 nonprofit organizations that have been a great help and support to us and many others. To help fund those in need of grief counseling that can't afford it, plus a percentage will go to help fund 2 scholarships given in memory our son Travis Yell who graduated in 2012 from Whittier Vo-Tech to 2 students. Both organizatons area nonroft 501C(3) tax exempt I Federal Tax ID #26-0066675 & ABJ Federal Tax ID #47-3006503Our son Travis Yell tragically passed on and at only 20 years young on Oct. 20, 2014. Travis Yell a lifelong resident of Haverhill and a graduate of Whittier Vo-Tech High School. We strive to keep his memory alive and impacting people just as he did in life.
