# Event Details - **Event Name**: KanOkla Coyote Challenge 2026 - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 31 Jan, 2026 at 06:00 pm - **Event Description**: Here are the rules for this year's hunt. 1. Each team member could be required to submit to a polygraph test and abide by the rules. 2. No *night hunting* will be allowed. Hunting hours will be 30min before sunup until 30min after sundown. 3. No shooting from a motorized vehicle (including 4/wheelers, ATV, etc.). 4. All types of calls are permitted. Decoys are allowed as well, but Decoying Dogs are NOT allowed. 5. Each team member must be no more than 200 yards apart at the same stand and must travel in the same vehicle. 6. All teams must check in no later than 7:30 pm on Saturday January 31st 2026. A satellite clock will be used and held by the chief judge. Late check in teams are disqualified. 7. Teams must line up in an orderly fashion as they return to the check in point. This point will be clearly marked. 8. All firearms must be unloaded before you enter the tractor club’s property . Failure to do so will result in your team being disqualified. 9. Coyotes must be brought in whole. Coyotes are picked up by a fur buyer and the money goes into the donated amount! All entered carcasses will go toward the donation, only exceptions will be with a vote of the committee. 10. All coyotes checked in must have been called in and shot by a team member. No trapped, road K*ll, poisoned, pen raised, snared or any other means that deviate from calling and shooting a coyote from a set with a firearm. This includes shooting from a vehicle or sighting from a vehicle and stepping out of the vehicle to take or attempt to take sighted coyotes. 11. In the event of a questionable coyote or its method of take, further examination will be done by the judging committee. Decisions are final. 12. Teams must be present to collect winnings. Any team that isn’t will forfeit the money to the donation. 13. Teams must know the hunting regulations in the area they are going to hunt, in addition to the contest rules. Teams that are cited for violations will be disqualified as well as any unethical means of take. Know the rules and abide by them. 14. The KANOKLA, committee, sponsors, hosts, or judges will not be held responsible for any accidents, loses or acts of God. 15. One team member must sign a liability form at the initial meeting on Friday January 30th starting at 6pm until 8pm. 16. A team can have 3 members total people no more. You may add a camera operator and youth hunter 14-and under. 17. If coyotes are not marked as instructed to do so on Saturday night at the time of check in your team will be disqualified. 18. You must take a picture with dogs mouth open, time and dog # wrote on the playing card. 19. Teams must arrive in there own vehicle. Side pots are 100% payout $30 each Big dog Little dog Ugly dog Big Cat Entry fee is $150 per team, $75 deposit for early registration required or you can pay in full at registration. Registration will start and be held at the antique tractor club just north of Caney Ks.
