When founded, Long Island Cares served a mere handful of agencies in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, but today, it distributes more than ten million pounds of food and supplies annually to nearly 400 member agencies in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and operates 5 satellite offices, plus our main office and warehouse in Hauppauge.On Friday, November 21st, Grassi volunteers will participate at the Long Island Cares Adopt-A-Family event where volunteers will make food donation boxes. This heartfelt initiative aims to provide nourishing meals and hope to those facing hardships during the holiday season.Volunteer Maximum: 20 participantsAdditional Information:Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes.Unacceptable shoes include: thin-soled sneakers, flats, sandals, etc.This volunteer opportunity is available to Jericho office employees only.
