STORYTIME is for children who are not yet in school, and their parents, grandparents, babysitters, caregivers or nannies. 
STORYTIME takes place at 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the first session.   
Space for each STORYTIME session is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.  There is no cost associated with this event.  “We look forward to this event every January and August,” said Jeremy Cumpton, Director of Conservation and Education at the Hattiesburg Zoo.   “This outreach opportunity is available to everyone, and we hope we see both familiar and new faces on Friday’s this August for STORYTIME.”  
In addition to listening to the book being read, children will be able to participate in an animal encounter and education session. STORYTIME takes place in the Zoo’s Education Room, which is in advance of the zoo’s Ticket Booth.  There is no fee to participate in STORYTIME at the Hattiesburg Zoo.
