Yet for those new to the subject, cloud technology can often appear complex or difficult to understand.In this introductory talk, Sunday Omolewu will explain the fundamentals of cloud computing through clear definitions, practical examples and familiar real-world scenarios.Attendees will learn how cloud computing differs from traditional on-premises infrastructure and how organisations access computing resources, applications and storage on demand.The session will introduce the main cloud service models: Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service. It will also explore public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud deployment approaches, explaining why organisations may choose one model or combine several. Examples from healthcare, education, finance and e-commerce will demonstrate how cloud technologies are used to improve services, support innovation and respond to changing demand.The talk will also examine the major benefits of cloud adoption, including scalability, flexibility, reliability, collaboration and cost efficiency.
