- **Event Description**: Take off on Saturday, September 19th, for the 2026 5K on the Runway at the Hastings Airport! Sponsored by the Adams County Visitors Bureau and coordinated by Hastings Parks & Recreation, this unique event will give runners an up-close look at our local airport, all while having fun and supporting a great organization.

At 8:00am, join other runners on a route along the Hastings Airport main runway and taxiway, as well as the secondary runway. The course will run past the main airport apron that will have airplanes to view, and the event will begin and end on the 99's Compass Rose on the terminal ramp! (For more information about the International Women's Aviation Organization the 99's, click here!--Hastings has the only one in Nebraska)

A portion of registration proceeds will benefit the Hastings Airport Association:

The Hastings Airport Association encompasses all of the businesses and tenants on the field. They promote and advocate for our aviation community in Hastings. Proceeds from this event will also be used to fund the 2027 Nebraska State Fly-In and Airshow that the Hastings Airport will be hosting.
