Originally established in 1889 as a schoolhouse for the village hosting many Canadian musicians. 

Why this night and this space is so iconic?

In late 2020, the legendary Neil Young teamed up with his 78-year-old older brother, Bob Young, to record and film the music video for Bob’s debut political folk single, "Hey America". 

Greg Keelor, co-founder of the iconic Canadian country-rock band Blue Rodeo, famously used the venue to pivot an entire album launch, upon listening to the audio captured in the hall, Keelor and his team discovered that the natural acoustics of the room sounded so superior to the formal studio recordings that they completely shelved the studio cuts. They officially released the raw, live Gores Landing Hall recordings as the final album instead

Acclaimed roots-rock staples The Weber Brothers (Sam and Ryan Weber) utilized the hall as a makeshift tracking studio with veteran Peterborough music producer and engineer James McKenty.
They utilized McKenty’s specialized mobile tracking setup right inside the hall, capitalizing on the room's high ceilings and live acoustic decay. These historic, old-school sessions resulted in their raw, hard-hitting 2022 rock album, Wild as The Wild Dogs.
