As part of the TREE OF LIFE exhibition weekend, Dwell Studio Chicago invites you to a special Bonsai Workshop led by bonsai grower and enthusiast Jan Truszkowski.

The day before, visitors will experience the opening reception of TREE OF LIFE CELEBRATION (https://www.dwellstudiochicago.com/s/stories/tree-of-life-celebrationsummer-night-with-art-nature-sound-4) —an exhibition featuring the artwork of Kasia Sermak Jamroz, a collection of bonsai trees by Jan Truszkowski and a sound bath experience by Renata Kusmider. On Saturday, the focus shifts to the living ART of BONSAI.

More than simply miniature trees, bonsai are symbols of patience, balance, resilience, and our connection to nature. During this workshop, Jan will share the history, philosophy, and basic techniques behind this fascinating art form while offering participants a closer look at the care and cultivation of bonsai trees.

Whether you are completely new to bonsai or have admired them for years, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, ask questions, and gain insight into an art form that beautifully reflects the spirit of the Tree of Life.
