- **Event Description**: Cathy Hatch who heads up several of Cape Cod’s largest Ukulele Groups announced that as part of the groups mission to popularize the instrument and enhance the playing skills of their members they have planned this mid-summer one-day Fest and Concert. “Through one of the attendees at our weekly Jams at the Harwich Community Center we were able to contact Jim Beloff who resides in Clinton, Connecticut and he was open to conducting one of his classic half -day workshops followed by a concert on the Cape,” stated Hatch. “The First Congregational Church in Harwich in keeping with their commitment to support community events was willing and excited to host the event. He’ll be hosted by friends in Harwich port so it all came together quite nicely, “she added. 

Jim Beloff was listed in Ukulele magazine-the industry’s standard bearer- several years ago as only one of three living ‘legends of Uke’ and just this Spring was the subject of an extensive feature article in Ukulele magazine’s Spring edition. He is the long-time author of dozens of Ukulele songbooks in his ‘Jumpin Jim’ series and he has just released his third edition of The Daily Ukulele, often referred to as the Ukulele players Bible! Most ukulele players of all levels will have at least one edition of The Daily Ukulele. 

The one-day Fest will consist of two workshops from noon to 4:30 PM including a break and meet and greet, followed by a concert open to the public featuring Jim Beloff and Cathy Hatch at 6:30 PM (doors at 6:15 PM). All will take place at First Congregational Church, 697 Main Street, Harwich. Workshops including one admission to the Concert are $45. Concert only is $20
