Join us as Harvard resident and historian Fred Silverstein takes us on a bus tour of historical sites in Lexington and Concord where we will learn secrets of April 18, 1775. The tour starts on Lexington Green, where the conflict between British soldiers and patriots began that fateful day. We will recount stories about that morning, some familiar but many new and surprising, and visit other historic Lexington sites. In Concord we will visit the Old North Bridge and learn about the heroic and tragic events that happened there. On the return leg we will hear about other little known but very significant sites with their own stories to tell. A bagged picnic lunch will be provided by the senior center. This tour is expected to take 3.5-4 hours and will be on and off the bus. Space is limited. Please call to sign up. 978-456-4120.
