With so many CPD and online learning opportunities now available, we wanted to create something different to previous summits, an experience that is primarily practical, hands-on, and directly applicable to your everyday practice.This year’s programme brings together world-leading researchers, clinicians, and an eight-time Olympian under one roof, all focused on the theme of Horse, Saddle, and Rider Interaction. Throughout the day, you’ll experience live demonstrations examining saddle pressure and rein tension, gain insight into the workings of a high-performance multidisciplinary team, and hear how sports science and collaborative approaches have supported both performance and longevity at the highest level.In the afternoon, delegates can take part in multiple workshop sessions covering a wide range of topics, each designed to offer a more applied, interactive learning experience. To conclude the summit, Andrew Hoy will share insights into his training programme through a lecture demonstration.We’re confident this will be a truly unique event, offering exceptional quality of information alongside practical application. Delegates will be guided through a step-by-step overview of how these teams operate, the insights each specialist contributes, and how this collaborative approach can enhance both performance and the long-term health of the horse. Ben Benson, a leading farrier will discuss how shoeing choices, farriery techniques, and advances in hoof management influence overall hoof health and biomechanics. Through this lens, the session will focus on optimising performance while reducing the risk of hoof-related issues, providing attendees with practical insights they can apply in their own equine management practices.🕑: 02:00 PM - 05:00 PMRider-saddle fit: from a saddle fitter and coaches' perspectiveHost: Erik Mackechnie-Guire FBHS and Jo Beavis Info: It is widely acknowledged that correct saddle fit for the horse is essential, yet far less attention is given to the importance of saddle fit for the rider. This session, led by Joe Beavis and Erik MacKechnie-Guire FBHS, will provide valuable insights from both a saddle fitter’s and a coach’s perspective. Delegates will have the opportunity to view a wide range of saddles and discuss their fit in relation to different rider body types. While there are no definitive right or wrong answers, the session will equip attendees with practical knowledge to help inform decision-making when selecting saddles.🕑: 02:00 PM - 05:00 PMAssess and strengthen: what does a pole work programme look like? Host: Dr Rachel Murray and Dr Vicki WalkerInfo: The foundation of optimising health, soundness, and performance lies in the ability to effectively assess the horse. In this session, Dr Rachel Murray and Dr Vicki Walker will explore gait assessment in detail, focusing on its relationship with soundness and performance. Building on this, the discussion will move to exercise prescription, with particular emphasis on the use of pole work exercises to strengthen the horse, reduce the risk of injury, and support performance longevity. Delegates will enhance their gait evaluation techniques and gain up-to-date, evidence-based insights into pole work, including optimal pole numbers, spacing, and configurations.🕑: 02:00 PM - 05:00 PMSystems and exercises to support the rider: A physiotherapist’s perspectiveHost: Ash WallaceInfo: The rider is a key component in the horse–saddle–rider interaction. Rider function and symmetry are essential for achieving optimal harmony, while minimising the negative effects that poor position and dysfunction can have on the horse. In this session, Ash Wallace, a physiotherapist working with elite athletes across multiple sports, will explain how to assess riders and demonstrate a range of exercises designed to improve rider function and symmetry.

He will also share practical tips and tools that can be used to help reduce and resolve saddle slip.
