- **Event Description**: Join us for a new trial run of Family Move & Groove, a freewill donation music and movement class for families, held biweekly on April 4 & 18, on Saturdays at 11 am! This program was the brainchild of Sami Weesies, our hot yoga friend and a local early childhood educator. Sami is a PreK teacher at Diman-Wolf in Hart. With a strong background in child development, she was inspired to bring music and movement experiences to families throughout Oceana County, and she reached out to offer this class to share her love of all these areas combined. 

This music and movement class is designed for caregivers and their children ages 1–5 (older siblings are welcome if they’ll enjoy participating!). Following The Monarch’s Pay What You Can philosophy, the class encourages meaningful one-on-one connection between caregivers and their children. Each session thoughtfully incorporates social-emotional learning and gross motor development through engaging, playful activities.

Sami's classes blend classic children’s songs and rhymes with social-emotional learning and gross motor development. Through her music and movement practice, Sami’s goal is to equip caregivers of all kinds, ages and relationships with simple, intentional, and fun ways to play, connect, and interact with their children or loved ones. Open to all ages of children and families with multiple age ranges, but designed with development for tiny humans in the 0-7 age range, in mind. Ne need to advance register, but please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin as close to 11 as possible, after welcoming everyone without worry if you're running behind (we have kids, after all:)
