Panoramic Hike: Ivinghoe Beacon – Sat 23 May 2026
Fancy a proper countryside hike with big views and a great social vibe? This one is a full-day ridge walk to Ivinghoe Beacon with panoramic South Downs-style scenery, forest sections, and a lovely village finish. Steady pace, plenty of stops, and lots of photo moments.
Meeting & transport
- Meet: 8:45 AM at Euston Station
- Departure: 9:00 AM
- Start/finish station: Tring (we start walking from Tring at 9:51 AM)
- Expected return to London: around 7:00 PM

- Hiking time: approx. 5 to 6 hours (plus breaks)

- Non-members: £12
- Option to include group transport: +£20
Note: If you choose group transport, we travel together there and back. If you plan to return separately or get off elsewhere, please buy your own individual train ticket in advance.
What to bring
Walking shoes/boots (boots if you have them), waterproof jacket and trousers (recommended), water (at least 1L, ideally 2L), lunch for the picnic stop, and a bit of extra money if you want to join a pub after (optional).
