This is a comprehensive beginner knitting class that will cover all the basics of knitting, giving you a solid foundation to continue your knitting journey! Learn to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, read a pattern, read your knitting and correct mistakes. All while knitting a stylish mini scarf with a pattern by Petite Knits, the Sophie Scarf, that has gone viral in the knitting world! While the main project for this class is a simple one, class time will also be spent knitting sample swatches to allow plenty of time to practice techniques and learn how to correct mistakes. Time spent knitting between classes will be necessary to complete the project. Classes will be held at The Studio at Simple Hill Farm.

Registration deadline is Wednesday January 21, 2026.
$80 + $30 material fee (includes 1 skein of Simple Hill Farm Yarn-color of your choice & pattern). Not included in the material fees, but needed is a 3.5 mm [US4] / 60 cm [24 inches] circular knitting needle. Heidi will provide recommendations for the knitting needles upon registration.
