This month, we honor Saraswati, the radiant Hindu Goddess of wisdom, music, sacred sound, creativity, knowledge, and the flowing river of consciousness. Often depicted holding a veena, a beautiful musical instrument, Saraswati reminds us that all of life is vibration, and that our voices carry the power to create, heal, bless, and transform. She teaches us to speak with clarity, listen with reverence, and trust the divine wisdom moving through us. Our focus will be on the healing medicine of song, chanting, and sacred voice. Together we will explore the ways our voices have been silenced, misunderstood, or withheld. We will lovingly tend the places within us that still carry the echoes of words we never wanted to hear, as well as the places longing to receive the words we deeply needed but never received. Through chanting, singing, prayer, meditation, movement, breathwork, and sacred sharing, we will create space for healing old wounds around communication, self-expression, judgment, criticism, shame, and fear. We will also celebrate the joy of speaking our truth, singing our song, and allowing Spirit to move through us. The Throat Chakra serves as a bridge between the heart and the higher realms of wisdom. When balanced, it supports authentic communication, creativity, integrity, intuition, inspired expression, and the courage to live in alignment with our deepest knowing. If you have ever felt unheard, afraid to speak your truth, hesitant to express your emotions, or uncertain of your voice, this gathering is for you.
