Raised in a musical family, she has opened for some of her favorites: The Roches, Dave Mallett, Livingston Taylor, Cindy Kallet, and Pete Seeger. For 5 years she produced the popular "Songwriters in the Round" series and has performed at the annual Sweet Chariot Music Festival for over 35 years. A few years ago, Lisa was commissioned to write a ballad for Penobscot Indian elder and WW2 hero, Charles Norman Shay, and was honored to sing it for him at a ceremony on DDAY in Normandy, France. She's had several of her songs licensed for use. Most of her CDs are available at www.lisaredfern.com and her music can be heard on most online platforms, including Hymnstream.com Awards include: West Coast Songwriters Association: Best Song, Parents' Choice: Silver & NAPPA Gold for "Sing Me Goodnight" lullaby CD, Great American Song Contest & USA Songwriting Competition: Finalist "Redfern is one to watch!"
