Homesteader Boone County's Weekly Homesteader's Swap Meet!
We have joined with Carolyn's Creations Swap to share the Boone County Square on Fridays 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from Noon to 6Pm.
Produce, Small Livestock, Poultry, Rabbits & supplies.
Also homestead creations & crafts!
If this continues to do well and we clean up after ourselves, we will hold a Homesteader's Swap Meet on every Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday from Noon to 6Pm.
Come out and enjoy the fellowship!
No rules except ALP/USDA rules.
No Membership Fees and No Setup Fees!
Crafts etc will be on the South side of courthouse (across from Harness Shoes). Carolyn Creations is Crafts manager. (870)741-5760.
Animals will be on the West side of Courthouse (across from Sanctuary Thrift Store). Jim Hall is animal manager (870)281-5587.
Animal ALP/USDA Rules:
- All poultry must have proof of Pullorum-Typhoid tests within the last 90 days or be from a participant of NPIP. No testing can be done on site. Name & address of all poultry sellers MUST be provided to swap manager Jim Hall or his designee BEFORE unloading and setting up to sell any poultry!
- Cottage laws apply. Eating Eggs must be refrigerated. Electricity available. Hatching eggs must be NPIP certified.
- All sheep and goats MUST have USDA scrappy ear tags. No exceptions.
- All swine must have ALP ear tags. No exceptions.
- There are no rules/laws concerning rabbits, but ill/sick rabbits will be asked to leave. Per subsection (e) producers prerogative applies.
- ALP inspectors will be on site and will be enforcing all applicable state and federal laws. Potential fines for violators.
- You are welcome to bring canopies and tables to place rabbits and poultry on. We ask that larger animals be left on your vehicle/trailer.
- Absolutely no animal flippers. If we catch you buying/selling animals to "flip" you will be asked to leave and not return. ALP inspectors asked one poultry flipper to leave March 15th and he is not welcome to return.
- All Homesteader made products are welcome, but Food Cottage Laws must be followed.
- We want a fun Homesteader's Swap! When you arrive, try and park with vehicle backed in. Please keep sidewalks clear for shoppers. All larger animals should stay on your truck/trailer, if possible. We ask you clean up any poop/trash so we keep Boone County happy and our swap may continue each week.
- The name "Homesteader" does not belong to one person. This swap is managed by the admins of the Facebook group Homesteader Boone County Arkansas and not affiliated with any other homesteader swap.
Rain? In case of rain, the swap will be canceled for that day.
