A Blue Moon is not about color, but about its uncommon occurrence. A Blue Moon symbolizes rarity, transformation and personal growth. It serves as a powerful reminder of new beginnings and the potential for positive change in our lives. The Blue Moon is often associated with extraordinary events due to its infrequent occurrence. The last Blue Moon came August 19, 2024!
It symbolizes moments in life that are unique and to be cherished. The phrase "once in a blue moon" reflects this rarity, encouraging us to appreciate special moments.
This particular blue moon will appear slightly smaller and dimmer than an average full moon because it occurs near its furthest point from the Earth. Moon rise for May 31, 2026 is 9:16pm.
To celebrate this special lunar event, we will be creating our own Blue Moon Water Decanters and then journey with them in the Medicine Lodge at Earth Wisdom under the rising moon.
A selection of various shapes and sizes of bottles will be available to choose from along with labels, trinkets, mod podge, bottle stoppers/toppers, paints, glue and other "bits & bobs" to decorate with. If you have a special bottle, crystal, etc. that you would like to use for your project, please bring!
We will begin our evening at 7pm by creating our moon water bottles as we work in a sacred space with this rare lunar energy. As we work, we will be discussing the many ways we may use our moon water. Upon completion of our bottles, we will move to the Stone Circle. Our beautiful moon water vessels will be placed on a special altar there so they may capture lunar energy of the rising moon as we do a meditation/journey in the Medicine Lodge. We then collect our beautiful bottles and move back to the pavilion to enjoy some moon themed treats to end our evening.
The cost for this lunar event is $35 and covers all supplies for your special moon water bottle, the shamanic journey in the Medicine Lodge and our "Lunar" treats. You must prepay for this event, and may do so on paypal, venmo, Meta pay or in person before event.
