The 2025-26 Susquehanna Folk Concert Seasons returns to Harrisburg Unitarian Church for a night with one of the true master song collectors of our time!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
From Celtic to Arabic, medieval to modern, symphonies to sea shanties in video games: few artists can match Seán Dagher’s scope! We met him last fall as part of Skye Consort, and now we’re excited to have him here on his own.
Seán is an active performer, arranger, and composer of music from all manner of folk and classical music traditions. Based in Montréal, Québec, Canada, he sings and plays Irish bouzouki, mandolin, oud, banjo, and shruti box. His voice is widely known from his recordings for the Assassin’s Creed video game series, including Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
Seán’s renditions of sea shanties (and other songs from the video games) have been streamed some 70 million times. His own Shanty of the Week video series receives thousands of views a week and has a loyal following the world over.
Seán’s compositions and arrangements have been performed across Canada, the United States, and Europe. He’s composed for ensembles, audiobooks and theatre productions; and of course he's a member of Skye Consort and is the co-artistic director of La Nef.
He has been nominated for numerous OPUS and ADISQ awards and participated in the ADISQ-winning CD, La Traverse Miraculeuse with La Nef and Les Charbonniers de l’enfer. He has won OPUS awards for Creation of the Year (Leave Her, Johnny), Album of the Year (Skye Consort & Emma Björling) and Youth Production of the Year (Le chat et le gondolier, La Nef).
