Save the Date!
We return to the Island Resort and Casino for another Upper
Peninsula historical adventure. For those of you who attended our
2024 convention, you remember the great time we had and the quality of the resort venue. This year we will head north to the Marquette Iron Range on our Friday field trip.
Tentative plans start with a tour of the Eagle Mine’s Humboldt Mill facilities and the Mineral Range railroad. Lunch will be in the historic Negaunee Union Depot where we will also visit the DSS&A Negaunee Freight House. After lunch we will check out the Marquette 5th Street Depot, Dock Number 6 and end our visit at the LS&I dock where the U25C locomotive is on display.
Registration for the field trip will be capped at the bus capacity of 110. As in the past several years, there will be no “at door” registrations and no Friday Only fare, so make your plans early.

Hotel Room Reservations
A block of 80 rooms has been held at the resort. Room rates are
$90.00 for per night for standard double queen beds or kings. Several executive suites are available at an upcharge. The room rate for our block is good from Monday, September 7th until Monday, September 14th. You can reserve your rooms now!
To make your reservation: Call 800-682-6040. Ask for the Soo Line Historical & Technical Society 2026 Block (Booking ID#20437). A credit card is required to hold your room. The Room Block is being held until August 1st so please make your room reservation EARLY to take advantage of the low rate.
