Elspeth is the first British woman to circumnavigate the globe on a motorcycle. 
Elspeth started her trip in 1982 riding a BMW R60/6 traveling from New York through Canada and Mexico back ton the US before shipping her bike to Australia. Then after a break there she travelled back to the UK via Singapore, Thailand, India, Pakistan and Turkey arriving back in 1984 having travelled a total or 35,000 miles.
 Her autobiography, “Lone Rider” published in 2017 chronicles the tour.

 Elspeth is now an award-winning Architect living in a converted water tower in Surrey
