Time and tide have always defined Libyan food – and on the night, we invite you to taste why.The MenuThe Time & Tide menu has been crafted by Head Chef Magdulein Abaida as a journey through Libyan cuisine in two acts – the traditional and the new.The first is a celebration of deeply traditional Libyan dishes, many rarely seen outside of a Libyan home kitchen. These are recipes rooted in family, memory, and generations of craft... served as Maggie learned them, and as they deserve to be eaten.The second is something rarer still: a glimpse of where Libyan-Italian cuisine is going. A handful of dishes on this menu are entirely Maggie's own – original creations that honour the traditions she was raised on while forging a bold new expression of what this cuisine can be.Together, eight courses tell the full story of a food culture shaped by tides, travel, and time.Wine pairings will also be available. We are proud to work with some of the finest local producers and suppliers in Norfolk and Suffolk, including Earsham Street Fish Company of Bungay, D.A. Browne & Son of Harleston, seasonal fruit and vegetables from Accent Fresh, and pantry staples from Cleveleys.The ChefMagdulein Abaida grew up in a kitchen in Tripoli, filled with the aromas of cumin, cinnamon, coriander, and thyme – and the wisdom of the women who taught her that food is memory, medicine, and love.
