Born in Nashville, Tennessee, and raised in Georgia, David Daughtry has spent a lifetime immersed in country music. For him, music has never been simply a career—it has always been a way of life.

As the son of Grand Ole Opry star and award-winning country artist Terri Gibbs, David grew up traveling the country, spending time backstage, and performing alongside his mother from an early age. Those experiences gave him a unique perspective on the dedication, authenticity, and connection that define great country music. Among his most cherished memories are walking his mother onto the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for her performances—a tradition that reflects both his love for his family and his deep respect for country music's rich heritage.

Music also runs deep throughout David's family. His uncle, Dean Daughtry, was the founding keyboardist and longtime member of the legendary Atlanta Rhythm Section, helping shape one of the South's most influential bands. Growing up surrounded by accomplished musicians inspired David to develop his own voice while honoring the traditions that have influenced generations of artists.

Influenced by the timeless storytelling of traditional country music and the sound of today's country artists, David has developed a style that honors the genre's roots while remaining distinctly his own. Known for his powerful vocals, authentic stage presence, and genuine connection with audiences, he delivers performances that blend classic country favorites, '90s country, and today's hits into an energetic, family-friendly show.

David's career has included opening performances for James Otto, Keith Anderson, Ray Fulcher, and Terri Gibbs. He has also made a guest appearance with The Malpass Brothers, joining Terri Gibbs on stage for a special performance. In 2012, David was honored as the Artist Music Guild’s New Artist of the Year. He has also been featured as a vocalist on Terri Gibbs' Christian albums and appeared in the music video for "David's Song," written by his mother shortly after his birth.
