About the event

Wave of Light
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and the Worldwide Wave of Light Event honors and celebrates all the babies lost to pregnancy or infant loss. A day where the light of a candle shines around the world for 24 hours to honor and celebrate the lives of all the babies lost to pregnancy loss or infant loss.

The celebration is very simple. At 7pm local time, you light a candle. This candle could represent your own baby, or maybe it celebrates the life of someone else’s babies, you know. Even if you don't know anyone who has lost a baby to pregnancy or infant loss, you can still certainly partake in this beautiful celebration.
