Purpose:
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive public comments and testimony regarding proposed amendments to Hanover’s Zoning Bylaw, which will be considered at the Special Town Meeting on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 7:00 pm at Hanover High School.
Summary of Proposed Zoning Articles:
The following amendments have been submitted to the Select Board for inclusion as Articles on the Warrant for consideration and action at the Special Town Meeting. Following the hearing, the Planning Board will vote on its recommendations for the Special Town Meeting Warrant Articles.
⦁ Establish an MBTA Overlay District allowing multi-family housing by right within designated areas.
⦁ Amend the Zoning Bylaw (Section 10) to align development standards for the new district.
⦁ Update the Official Zoning Map to include the new MBTA Zoning District in compliance with the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) model.
