With every new chapter of our lives comes challenges, changes, and difficult decisions. That is especially true approaching the last chapter of life. This season of life can be filled with uncertainty, fear, and stubbornness. Difficult discussions can come up that we want to avoid. Facing these discussions head on before decisions become absolutely necessary can help to alleviate some of the fear and misconceptions that surround end of life. That is why our next Shared Experience Community Form will be an end of life panel discussion.
The panelists will include:
Nick Uecker, Peterson Chapel Funeral Services
Laura Scherer, Head of Nursing at Engle Haus
Leah Barron, Social Worker with St Croix Hospice
Pulling from the knowledge and experience of these panelists, we'll explore transitioning into a senior living/retirement facility, learn about the role of hospice care, and talk through what can be done to plan ahead for a funeral. Shedding light on what can be a difficult time period can help to face the decisions with more certainty and peace of mind.
We welcome you to join us for this upcoming Shared Experience Community Form. Whether you are facing these end of life topics for yourself or will be walking with a parent, friend, or other family member facing these decisions, we hope that this panel discussion will be enlightening to all that attend.
