Bihar School of Yoga, located on 1200 hectar of land at Ganga Darshan Vishwa Yogapeeth, Munger, is the karma bhumi of Sri Satyananda Saraswati, chosen and declared by him to be the epicenter of the yogic renaissance in the 21st century. It was in Munger that Sri Swami Satyananda had the revelation that he would fulfil the mandate of his guru Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati, by creating a fellowship of yoga, and devote himself to the elevation of human consciousness by disseminating the light of yoga. Maintaining the ancient traditions and practices, the teachings of Bihar School of Yoga provide practical techniques and methods to bring simplicity, harmony and balance into life in the modern world. Yoga and Tantra at Bihar School of Yoga is not just a practice, but a lifestyle which offers an experience of complete integration of the human personality and nature. In 2013, Bihar School of Yoga celebrated its Golden Jubilee with the World Yoga Convention, attended by delegates from over 56 countries and 23 states of India.
