The Hannibal Concert Association’s fourth concert of its 2025-2026 concert season is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 with the St. Louis-based Japanese Taiko drumming ensemble St. Louis Osuwa Taiko.
St. Louis Osuwa Taiko - www.stltaiko.com - is a vibrant, community-based ensemble dedicated to preserving and sharing the powerful Japanese art of taiko drumming through dynamic performances and educational outreach. The group traces its origins to 1986, when Daihachi Oguchi—the grand master of Japan’s renowned Osuwa Taiko—visited St. Louis, sister city to Suwa in Nagano Prefecture. During his visit, he gifted the city a set of taiko drums and taught a local youth group to play, planting the seeds for what would become St. Louis Osuwa Taiko.
Without a season or patron membership, tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students. Season, Patron and Single-Concert tickets may be purchased online at
