- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 09 Sep, 2026 at 07:30 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: Join FBC and Astronomer John Meader for a night sky tour at Tidal Falls Preserve!

Guests will be guided through a tour of the visible constellations and stars from Tidal Falls Preserve. Using John’s telescopes, we will find and discuss any visible planets, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae. The presentations will include a bit of sky-lore storytelling, practice using a telescope, and time for questions and discussion.

Start time: John will begin the tour once the sky has become dark around 7:30 PM. The sunset that evening is at 7:02 PM, participants are welcome to come early to watch the sunset and get situated before night falls.

What to bring: Guests are encouraged to turn off cell-phones, flash lights, or anything projecting bright lights during the event, but are encouraged to bring a light to navigate to and from your car before / after the event. We suggest wearing multiple layers for a cool September evening, and consider bringing a camp chair or blanket for comfort.
