Valentine’s Day—it can be a great way to celebrate love, adoration, and even friendship.
But sometimes it's over the top. Sometimes it's just too much. Sometimes you just want to say, “Enough already!”
If Cupid’s got you down, or you’ve simply had enough with heart-shaped… well, everything, Detroit History Tours has you covered! On Detroit’s Not All About Love: The Anti-Valentine’s Day Tour, we’ll give you the unvarnished truth behind some of Detroit’s least lovable husbands, worst marriages, and the business end of “love.” We’ll explore Detroit’s premier park for the real story of a tyrannical tycoon, a princess who wasn’t feeling it, and a columnist who wasn’t afraid to tell it like it was—especially in matters of the heart. We’ll uncover the truth behind a so-called “loving reunion,” look at an affair that wasn’t so sweet, and drown our sorrows at one of Detroit’s best watering holes.
Grab a buddy and prepare to break some hearts on this thoroughly unromantic adventure. No matter your relationship status, who you love, or not, all are welcome on a lighthearted sojourn to Detroit’s past!
Because drinking and swearing come with the history, all public bus tours are strictly 21 years old and older. (To date, the oldest person to join one of our tours was 97 years of aged awesomeness. We've also hosted a 21st birthday party—and everyone in between!)
Tickets are $59 per guest.
