Trees For Soldiers

Operation Service and Smuttynose Brewing Company are giving away Christmas Trees for active and retired military.

What started as a few trees donated in 2010 has grown into a large operation now known as Operation Service. This program has been running for 6 years at Devens RFTA, 5 years at Hanscom Air Force Base and 2 years at Otis Air National Guard Base.

The trees cost more this year with inflation, but Joe and his team are prepared. "We are fundraising all year long. We start the beginning of the year, and we don't stop because we don't want to let anyone down," Joe Firmani, founder of Operation Service said.

In addition to free trees for soldiers, this year trees will be available to purchase for $50 with all the money going back to the program.

Pick up will be December 6th from Noon-7pm at Smuttynose Brewing Co. in Hampton.
