- **Event Description**: Join ceramic artist Shaun Chown for a hands-on pottery workshop exploring the art of slab-built ceramics. Participants will learn how to shape, carve, and decorate clay while creating their own unique piece, such as a mug, vase, or decorative form.

A selection of underglazes and glaze finishes will be available to personalize your work, and all pieces will be professionally fired and finished. Completed pieces will be returned to the Peter Salmon Art Centre for pickup approximately 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

No previous experience required
Returning participants welcome
All materials, firing, and glazing included

Date: Monday, July 27th
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Peter Salmon Art Centre, 304 Main Street
Cost: $110 per person

About Shaun Chown:

Shaun is a lifelong artist, maker, and former art educator who has worked with a variety of media throughout her career. After being introduced to painting by her grandmother in the 1970s, she went on to teach art for over 30 years and studied photography with renowned New Brunswick artists. In 2015, her artistic journey expanded into ceramics, and she has been creating and teaching pottery ever since.
