# Event Details

- **Event Name**: W**d Wrangle Wednesday at Seidner
- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 15 Jul, 2026 at 09:00 am – Wed, 15 Jul, 2026 at 12:00 pm
- **Event Description**: You know what July means in northwestern Indiana — sweet clover! This month, we will be visiting three Shirley Heinze properties to assist with removing this invasive legume. Invasive species removal is a great way to get an intimate look at the preserve while helping to ensure that native plants and wildlife can continue to thrive here.

Be prepared to work outside. We recommend long sleeves and long socks to prevent insect bites/stings. Conditions on the workday may be wet and will likely be hot. We will provide all the necessary equipment, gear, light snacks, and water. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.

Please fill out the online Volunteer Application prior to attending. We’ll also have hard copies for you at the workday. Stop by to lend a hand and chat with our staff about other opportunities that can flex your skills and fulfill your interests!
