thedeathofyou is a band made up of friends, formed in Hamilton Ontario. After a recording process that took years to complete, the release of their EP Inhale debuted Sept 19, 2025. With music to share, thedeathofyou is now set to hit the stage and make some noise, incarnating blaring alternative/indie shoegaze atmospheres. Musical influences include: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Yo La Tengo, Radiohead, Nirvana, Godspeed You Black Emperor. People have described thedeathofyou’s sound as dissonant, beautiful, uncomfortable, ethereal. thedeathofyou have a style that embraces noisy distortion and gentle melodies. thedeathofyou is grateful to be making music.
