ADHD – it’s so hot right now! Pooneke’s creative powerhouse Jo Randerson, ONZM, unpacks their diagnosis, neurodivergent parenting, sad songs, men taking their time, and more in this ‘funny as hell’ theatre extravaganza.
Diagnosed with ADHD in their 40s alongside their son, Jo’s restless energy fuels their fiercely funny artistic voice. A true arts polymath, Jo has earned accolades as performer, comedian, writer, activist, director, curator, theatremaker, filmmaker, witch, and clown, recently receiving the 2023 Topp Prize for Comedy.
In Speed is Emotional, Jo bares their soul, sharing the exhilaration, exhaustion, joy, and absurdity of living and parenting with neurodivergence. With punk poetic magic, they create a beautiful comedy about transcending labels and living at a voltage so high it might blow the mains.
