We're excited to welcome Tobias Zan for a fun and accessible workshop focused on the foundations of Solo Jazz and one of the most iconic jazz routines, The Tranky Doo. Whether you're brand new to Solo Jazz or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this workshop will give you tools, vocabulary, and confidence to bring more rhythm and expression to your dancing.

ABC of Solo Jazz – Learn the building blocks of Solo Jazz movement, rhythm, and styling. This class is designed to introduce key concepts and help dancers develop a strong foundation.

The Tranky Doo – Put your new skills into practice by learning a part of The Tranky Doo, a classic jazz routine that has been passed down through generations of dancers and remains a staple of the swing dance community.

Solo Jazz is an energetic and expressive dance form that developed alongside swing music during the Jazz Age. Danced without a partner, Solo Jazz emphasizes rhythm, musicality, creativity, and individual expression. Whether you're interested in improving your swing dancing, exploring jazz movement, or simply having fun, this workshop is a great place to start.
