Welcome to CAGBASH XIX

Welcome to CAGBASH XIX at Cincycon! Get ready to participate in Cincinnati’s longest-running 40k tournament. It is our pleasure to host the 19th year of CAGBASH and to help grow our local community. Here you will play 5 rounds against some of the most fun and competitive players you will encounter in the Hobby.
CAG consistently strives to bring players from all walks of life to participate and share our hobby in whatever capacity that may be for everyone. Through friendly local game stores, charity events, conventions, or at our homes we Assemble, Paint, Display, and Play our miniatures as we discuss our heroic battle stories or in some cases epic failures in dice rolling. It is important to all of us that we enjoy our hobby and those we share it with do as well.
The Eddie “The Warboss” Axe Trophy, this trophy is a tribute to our departed battle brother, Eddie Draper. Eddie’s impact was profound, touching many lives both within the hobby community and beyond. This prestigious trophy will henceforth be a fixture at CAGBASH, a place Eddie fondly regarded as his second home. Join us in commemorating this remarkable hobby hero with a resounding Waaagh at CAGBASH XIX. The recipient of the Eddie “The Warboss” Trophy will be determined by the combined ITC Hobby Track Painting Rubric and best sportsmanship. A true Warboss’s Choppa as the Trophy! In addition, the winner of this Axe receives a Golden Ticket to the Warhammer World Championships.
I would like to bring attention to our Best Painted Award named after a great man that left us too soon. Ian Villamagna was an inspiration to many in our community, especially when it came to painting miniatures. He encouraged people to paint and was able to assist others who were struggling and turn them into great painters. We Honor Ian for his always vibrant and positive outlook on life, gaming, and helping others in whatever that may have been at the time. He is sorely missed, and we dedicate this trophy to his legacy! In addition the winner of this Axe receives a Golden Ticket to the Warhammer World Championships.
Pairings will be made by the Best Coast Pairings App (BCP). BCP is available your browser and is recommended over the app at this moment. Table matchups will also be determined by BCP.
Please enjoy our Event.

Army Construction, Modeling, and Painting:
All armies must be Battle-forged according to the Warhammer 40,000 Core Book and the Strike Force guidelines. When building your army, use all the most up-to-date Warhammer 40,000 rules found in the following Games Workshop and Forge World publications prior to the publication date of February 15th, 2024. Army lists should be presented in an easy-to-read format (such as New Recruit: https://www.newrecruit.eu/ or the 40k App), including all relevant wargear, points, and unit upgrades.
Army lists MUST be PRINTED in an easy-to-read format (such as New Recruit or the 40k App), including all relevant war gear and unit upgrades and points. A copy must be available for each opponent that you play. It may be one copy used for each opponent to use but must still be available.

Painted armies are not a requirement, but fully painted armies are worth 10 Battle points each Game. Each model must accurately represent its entry on your army roster (What You See Is What You Get - WYSIWYG).
For any converted or scratch-built models, you must seek permission from events@sanctuaryathomestead.org including photos of the models in question where possible before February 15th. While you may submit models for approval after this date, we may not have an opportunity to review them in time. If you do not obtain permission for conversions before this date, you run the risk of them being removed from play, or possibly incurring score penalties. This includes conversions/alternatives to represent factions/models no longer represented in the current model range.
If you are using rules for your army that are different from the color scheme in which they are painted, you must have that army approved by submitting it to events@sanctuaryathomestead.org.
A Note on Basing: Many models are no longer produced on the bases they originally came with. Wherever possible, base your models according to their current boxed kit. As with other exceptions if you wish to have a model reviewed, please e-mail for approval. For guidelines check here: https://assets.warhammer-community.com/eng_11-02_wh40k_core&key_chapter_approved_tournament_companion-fzhlwjzwf4-agxpall6br.pdf

Scoring
CAGBASH XIX Scoring will be tracked in Best Coast Pairings App by our staff. We will provide score sheets for each round. The score sheet MUST be filled out and signed by both players and turned in for verification to Ashli at HQ. She will update BCP accordingly.

Hobby Track Scoring will be finished during the first round by each player vs their opponent.

Sportsmanship Scoring will be recorded and handed in at the end of each round.

Terrain Set Up
This year we are using the Games Workshop’s US Open Series layout for as close approximation as possible.

ITC Code of Conduct
