- **Event Description**: Join us for the 22nd year of the Arbor Day planting in Kirikiriroa Hamilton – this year we’re heading to an exciting new location at Tauhara Park in Rototuna.

We invite schools, corporate groups and the community to join us as we aim to plant 10,000 natives throughout the day. We can't do this alone – we need as many nature-loving volunteers as possible to roll up their sleeves and help restore nature in the city this Arbor Day! If you are a corporate or school interested in attending, please email us at nature.inthecity@hcc.govt.nz.

The event kicks off at 10am with introductions/openings and health and safety briefing, before we get stuck into planting trees. During the lunchbreak from 12pm – 1pm, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy educational stands from our very own Kids in Nature programme, where you can learn about introduced predators, see real life bees, and discover facts about Aotearoa's native lizards.
