September 2026 besucht werden, vor und nach den Veranstaltungen im Istituto sowie Mo – Do 10.00 – 13.00 und 14.00 – 16.00 Uhr; Fr 10.00 – 13.00 Uhr.Der Architekturstil "Brutalismus" basiert auf Funktionalität statt Ästhetik. Es werden industrielle und rohe Materialien sowie imposante und massive Formen eingesetzt. Die Schau zeigt eine Auswahl von Fotografien von Roberto Conte und Stefano Perego, die den italienischen Brutalismus dokumentieren.Die der Ausstellung zugrundeliegende Idee geht auf die gleichnamige Publikation von Roberto Conte und Stefano Perego zurück (Brutalist Italy. Concrete architecture from the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, Fuel London 2023), die mehr als hundert Gebäude des italienischen Brutalismus in 146 Fotografien vorstellt. Die beiden Fotografen haben mehr als 20.000 km zurückgelegt und dabei alle Regionen der Halbinsel durchquert, um eine große Vielfalt an Gebäuden der italienischen brutalistischen Architektur zu dokumentieren, die sich durch die Verwendung von sichtbarem Stahlbeton auszeichnet. Von der Casa del Portuale in Neapel bis zum Friedhof in Jesi, von der Wallfahrtskirche Monte Grisa in Triest bis zu den „Waschmaschinen“ in Genua und zu verschiedenen Messegebäuden, Museen und Friedhöfen, führt das Projekt zahlreiche überraschende Beispiele italienischer brutalistischer Architektur vor Augen.
