Join us for a four-day advanced course designed for veterinarians who want to deepen their skills in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Building on prior knowledge from Oral Surgery 1, this course focuses on more complex procedures within oncology and trauma surgery.
Through lectures, demonstrations and extensive hands-on training, participants will work with:
Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology – Level 2
• Segmental mandibulectomy
• Rostral maxillectomy (uni-/bilateral)
• Commissuroplasty and alternative techniques
• Collaboration with pathologists and oncologists
• Placement of feeding tubes (nasoesophageal, esophagostomy)
Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma – Level 2
• Alternatives to transoral intubation (transmylohyoid, pharyngotomy, tracheotomy)
• Interdental wiring techniques and bis-acryl composite splinting for jaw fracture repair
• Wire cerclages and internal/external bis-acryl composite splints
• Intraosseous wiring techniques and external skeletal fixation
