Hello Halifax sketchers!
The Halifax Urban Sketchers will be meeting up again this Sunday at 11 am! It looks like good weather but if it changes, we will go the rain location below.
When: July 27, 2025, from 11am - 1pm
Where: Horseshoe Island Park, 6936 Tupper Grove, Halifax (7000 Quinpool Road on North West Arm). Meet up near the parking lots. (Google " Horseshoe Island Park,” for directions).
Meeting location: Near the parking lots (it is a small park), to pick a point or two of interest. If it is rainy, we will meet up at the Halifax Shopping Centre food court (lower level near the fireplace wall).
Please note that this is a free event. Just show up near the parking lots of the Horseshoe Island Park (or Halifax Shopping Centre, if it is raining) on Sunday and look for the group of friendly people with sketchbooks. Similar to previous outings, you may want to bring a portable chair or stool sketchbook, pens, pencils, erasers, sunblock, etc. Feel free to bring a friend as well!
This area has a number of green spaces and great views of the Northwest Arm area, the Dingle in the distance and the new, and reportedly, tallest building in Halifax at 33 stories, called “One 77”. This area is bound to be full of interesting things to sketch and as usual, everyone is welcome to capture whatever captures them!
