The Wines of France is our 5-week course designed for the wine-enthusiast looking to develop their knowledge and appreciation of French wine - with food!
Class will be held Sunday evenings 4-6pm, October 19, 2025 to November 16, 2025.
The course is developed and led by Obladee Sommeliers Heather Rankin (co-owner) and Audrey Turcotte. The menu is created by Chef Dakota MacLean.
We will cover wine sensory and theory fundamentals including tasting techniques, grape varieties, classification systems, geography, help with labels, buying tips, wine and food pairing, and more!
You will taste 5 wines per class with custom food pairings designed with this course in mind. As well, a comprehensive course manual will be provided.

Class 1: Sun, Oct 19 4-6pm: Champagne & The Loire Valley
Class 2: Sun, Oct 26 4-6pm: Burgundy & The Beaujolais
Class 3: Sun, Nov 2 4-6pm: Alsace, Savoie & Jura
Class 4: Sun, Nov 9 4-6pm: Bordeaux, Armagnac, Cognac & The Southwest
Class 5: Sun, Nov 16 4-6pm: Rhone, Provence, Languedoc & Corsica
