Our Third Annual Emancipation Day Social will take place at Evergreen House (26 Newcastle  Street, Dartmouth) from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on August 2nd.

This free event will include an address from Senator Wanda Bernard, a guest panel, a temporary pop-up exhibit about Dr. Clemont Ligoure - the first Black Physician in Halifax - from the Association of Nova Scotia Museums alongside several artefacts from the Dartmouth Heritage Museum collection. We'll also have children’s activities, and berry-themed treats and drinks from local businesses.

A list of guest speakers and an event itinerary will be shared closer to the event.
