Dirty Date Night on the Wheel

You’ve seen Ghost, right? Everyone wants to know if it’s really like that iconic scene with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. This is your chance to find out! Bring that special someone and find out what it’s like to throw on a potter’s wheel. This 2 hour class is a great way to try clay without the commitment of a 6 week class. BYOB/Snacks

Class begins with a focus on centering, followed by how to open, pull up walls, and form a cylinder. Forms and functions will be introduced and demonstrated. No experience is needed. All tools and material is provided. Depending on skill and ability, some students may make a pot or two. After clean up, those who have made a pot they wish to keep may choose a glaze color. Work will be dried, trimmed, glazed and fired in the following weeks and students will be called when their pots are ready to pick up. This can take up to 6 weeks. Open to anyone age 16 and up. Students should bring an apron or towel. Cost is $55 per person.
