Community Maker Swap 🌿

You’re warmly invited to a LifeSchoolHouse Maker Swap — a simple, neighbourly gathering rooted in sharing, creativity, and connection.

This swap will be hosted in a private home by Holly-Marie, at the corner of Main Street and Weyburn Road, near Akerley NSCC.

📍 The exact address will be shared by email with registered participants.

☕ Tea and coffee will be provided.

This is an inclusive, community-led gathering welcoming folks of all backgrounds, abilities, and skill levels. The idea is simple:
bring something you’ve made by hand or a voucher for a service you can offer, and exchange it with others. No money is exchanged, and perfection is never required.
Showing up — as you are — is the contribution.

How the Maker Swap Works:

Bring a friend if you’d like (just make sure they grab a ticket too).
Share what feels right for you — a small handmade item, food, craft, or a service you enjoy offering. There are no expectations.
Place your items on the communal table. After introductions, we’ll take turns choosing one item at a time until everyone has what feels fair.
Generosity tends to take care of the rest.

Looking for ideas?

Past swaps have included:
- homemade preserves, snacks, or baked goods
- plants, eggs, or garden harvest
- soaps, knitted items, dog treats
- artwork, jewelry, woodwork
- vouchers for skills or services

A few important notes about the space:

🐾 There are cats in the home (for allergy awareness)
🚪 Access includes 4 outdoor steps and approximately 10 indoor steps
🚗 Parking is limited on-site, with ample street parking on Weyburn Road
🎟️ Tickets are limited due to space — please only reserve one if you’re able to attend
