The comedy scene in Halifax is a small market but a powerful one. Comedy as a culture is highly encouraged and it is said that the comedy scene in Halifax is very elusive. halifax comedy is a host to a lot of Canadian comedians as well as international artists. The city provides comedy entertainment through theatre, workshops, open mics, festival and most famous is the stand-up comedy in Halifax. Comedy Clubs in Halifax
While speaking of comedy, one cannot ignore the comedy clubs in Halifax and the Halifax comedy fest conducted annually. There are tons of comedy shows in Halifax that one must attend, but for people who are genuinely interested in comedy, there are a few places that must not be missed such as Yuk Yuk's which is a national comedy club chain in Canada, and hosts very famous comedians both the national and international. therefore if one is at Halifax and loves comedy they must check out the schedule and attend a show here. Another place that one must not Last Laugh Comedy Club, the club features artists from Halifax comedy fest along with incredible comics from across the planet. The shows held here provide a vibrant environment along with food and drink specials, followed by a lineup of high-quality stand-up comedians. The Joker's Comedy Club is one more on the list of places that people who love comedy must visit. The club is known to run from Thursdays to Sundays and usually encourages the newest talent in the business. Other shows that one might catch in a week are Monday night at Gus's Pub, hosting the city's oldest open mic. On a Tuesday one can catch improv trivia at Oasis pub. On a Wednesday, one can enjoy comedy night at the Dalhousie grad house. Thursday nights things get hazy with comedy at the High Life Social club.
