- **Event Description**: Join the Royal Canadian College of Organists for an informal afternoon celebration of the musical legacy of St Matthew's Church. Founded in 1749, St. Matthew's is the oldest protestant-dissenting congregation in Canada. In July 2026, the congregation will amalgamate with Fort Massey United Church and St Andrew's United Church. 

Gather for an hour of organ music offered by RCCO Halifax Centre organists and several brief heritage moments offered by St Matthew's archivist as we give thanks for the space and its history of excellent music. There will be refreshments and lemonade! We want this to be a laid back opportunity to hear great music, fascinating stories, and celebrate this important sacred space.
