Join us in celebrating BOAT by Katherine Knight with a workshop by the award-winning photographer herself, followed by a book launch!
In the workshop, you’ll experience and test creative ways to combine words and images in your creative projects. Katherine will share her favourite tips and tricks on how to mix, match and play with words and images, using her recent book BOAT as an example. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Space is limited.
4:00 – 5:30pm
Paul O'Regan Hall | Floor 1

Then, join us for an evening of spirited conversation about how hand-crafted model boats link Atlantic people, places and memories. This one-of-a-kind book is an instant classic for coastal Canada, creating a beautiful, unique, and uncanny record of maritime model boats, accompanied by first accounts by both model creators and those that love this once prevalent and now fading craft. Katherine will be interviewed by author, artist, and Sappy Festival co-founder Jon Claytor.
Books will be for sale courtesy of King's Co-Op Bookstore.
