- **Event Description**: On May 2nd at NSCAD University, please join us for an exciting evening of fashion and community-building to celebrate three years of The Abundance Store, all to support our clients on their pathways to healing, empowerment, and reaching goals!

Esteemed local drag performer (as seen on Call Me Mother- season 2!), Mya Foxx will be delivering a fantastic performance (tips are encouraged) and hosting a fun, funky thrift fashion show, featuring beautiful clothing from The Abundance Store!

The fashion show and Mya's performance will start at 6 pm. The event capacity is 120 and tickets for this will sell fast, so get yours today! 

From 5 pm to 9 pm, attendees can also check out our crafters' market, encompassing vendors from throughout the HRM (no ticket required to check out the market).

About The Abundance Program and Store:

Developed and implemented to meet economic and wellness needs of vulnerable women and gender-diverse individuals, The Abundance Program has been one of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia’s most impactful initiatives. The program enables participants to achieve economic well-being and holistic wellness through overcoming employment and educational challenges uniquely faced by individuals who have been marginalized through criminalization.

Located in Dartmouth, The Abundance Store, an initiative of The Abundance Program, is a thrift store that employs women and gender-diverse individuals that have been criminalized. Through working in the store, these individuals gain valuable work experience, building on their knowledge and skills attained from participating in Abundance Program modules. Aside from gaining this work experience, they are able to bring in an income, further develop interpersonal skills, connect with the community, and become empowered through reaching their goals and contributing to such an impactful project.
