Milwaukee Bonsai Society-Make a Bonsai Pot 2026

Bryan L will teach the fun process of hand building a bonsai pot up to 9” in diameter.

Each student will be supplied with the rolled out clay for making the bottom and sides of the pot. You will be supplied with the slip to join the parts together, tools and some things to make a texture on the sides of the pot.

Everyone will also be sent a link to a series of videos that teach each step for making the pots. These must be watched prior to class. Once the videos have be viewed, you will easily be able to work your way through the process of making a bonsai pot.

Everyone will take the pots home, that day, and slowly dry them and do more detailing on them. The pots will then be given it back to Bryan, bone dry at the February or March meeting. The pots will then be fired and glazed and given back. The choice of glaze colors are: rust, brown or flat green.

You must be a MBS member in good standing to take this class.
